Caceres more recently has become well known for his enthusiasm for veganism. Slow to fully commit he would occasionally eat some animal based foods as cheat meals. Though he admits that he felt like a hypocrite for not being able to fully immerse himself in plant based nutrition despite his awareness of the full benefits of veganism. Now fully on board he is enjoying what being a vegan offers. Improved recovery and athletic performance are some of the more obvious improvements that Caceres has enjoyed but he has also experienced enhanced clarity of thought. This leads to improved focus during his fights.
Caceres maintains a vegetable garden at his Miami home. He finds the work that he invests into planting and harvesting his vegetables very satisfying. This experience has also enriched his training as he is able to similarly invest in his training and reap the results of his work. Even better growing produce himself he feels more in control of his body and health boasting that he has only been sick once in the two years since becoming a vegan.
