"I can't live without Cheese..."and here is why

But, I could never give up cheese...This is a typical remark made by people who are interested in plant based nutrition. Unfortunately it is also a major obstacle for many to become vegan. What people don't understand is that cheese creates an actual addiction in people. Milk contains a protein called casein that breaks apart during digestion and releases opiates called casomorphins.
Cheese also contains phenylethylamine, which is an amphetamine-like chemical. These compounds are responsible for many of our cravings, including that feeling of not being able to live without cheese. It’s a real physical addiction, which means we can really suffer from withdrawal when we stop eating cheese. The good news is that those cravings will lessen over time.
Fortunately there are vegan cheese alternatives available. Store bought options exist and there are also great recipes that can be a great substitution for the taste of cheese.

Vegan cheese alternatives will not replace the craving created by the opiates present in cheese. Only time away from cheese will ultimately reduce and end the craving/addiction to cheese and dairy.
YouTuber Mary's Test Kitchen has an abundance of recipes for vegan cheeses like in the link below.
