Vegan Athlete Antjuane Sims

Another plant based athlete, Antjuane Sims proudly proclaims that he is able to achieve superior athletic performance without meat dairy or drugs. Previously after years of consuming a wide range of meat products Sims came to a breaking point. He noticed his body did not digest the animal proteins well, as if his body was not able to break down the meat completely. The very texture of meat began to bother him not to mention the process of having to prepare it. With nothing to look forward to but troubled digestion Sims realized he had to make a serious change in his nutrition.

Sims was introduced to the idea to go vegan by a friend who frequently juiced fruits and vegetables. He decided that he would remove all meats from his diet but Sims viewed some documentaries about plant based nutrition granting him better perspective. He realized that all animal based foods had a negative effect on human cellular health. Secured in his choice to become vegan Sims experienced improved performance in his athletic pursuits as well.
Now Sims is a Bodybuilder, Cross-fit athlete and Muy Thai fighter. Being a vegan has allowed him to thrive in all of these physically demanding fields. After experiencing the improvements to his health and fitness level Sims thinks the bodybuilding world will become more accepting to plant based nutrition i.e. Veganism. Sims admits it took him some time to fully understand veganism. With that experience he feels that proper education is the key to getting more fitness enthusiasts on board with plant based nutrition.
Now working as a personal trainer Sims endorses the value of vegan nutrition to his clients and colleagues. Here he continues to educate others and help people overcome health problems like obesity and malnutrition. Now based in Los Angeles. Sims manages his personal training practice Action Figure Fit. Find him on his website and Instagram.
