What is Ashwagandha?


Have you heard of the herbal supplement Ashwagandha? The name may sound peculiar but this herb is a classified adaptogen useful for supporting overall well being. Ashwagandha is actually an ancient herb and has been part of Ayervedic medicine for centuries. One of the more useful applications is in reduction of stress and anxiety. This counteracts and reduces the production of cortisol which in turn reduces inflammation in the body. With this in mind these effects can be extended to treating depression and improving overall mood.
